Heritage Spinning & Weaving
Downtown Lake Orion

Doesn’t this photo make you just want to smile? This is Christa at the fashion show at Castle Farms. This year we took a different perspective with the show and featured designers and their work. With a carefully tuned script in hand, Stacey told the story of the designers and their pieces. This is a photo of our Coloring Book Shawl. Thanks to Diane of Yarns Forever for the fashion show photos.

Heritage’s shawls enjoyed the spotlight.

This pattern is coming . . . promise. I was tickled that both the model (Christa’s daughter Monica) and the audience liked it. This version is of handspun yarn.

This year’s festival was the best ever in many ways: the weather could not have been better, attendance was up, and everything went really smoothly. I also announced that I was stepping back a little from my festival duties to focus more on other endeavors. Mark your calendar for next year: the last weekend in July, July 25 & 26. Do come – it is a lovely venue and such a pleasant weekend with great shopping and great fiber artists.
