This class meets one time. \nDescription: In this class we will look at how fiber prep\, micron count\, and staple length affect your finished product. We will sample fine wool\, medium wool\, and long wool. We will also survey different spinning styles and demonstrate how drafting style\, twist per inch\, and ply angle affect your finished yarn.  We will discuss spinner’s journals and their purpose in helping you to develop your spinning with consistency and intention while acquiring new spinning skills. Class fee includes materials. \nRequired Supplies/Equipment/Books: Your own spinning wheel in working order and a lazy kate. DESCRIPTION:Day/Date/Time: Saturday\, 11/1/2025\, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. This Make & Take session meets once. \nDescription: Make these adorable 1” lighted acorn lanterns in this 2-hour Make & Take session. You will receive a kit with everything you need to make 2 acorn lanterns\, and special instruction for creating the acorn “stem” that will turn the lantern on and off. These little acorns can be made easily into earrings to wear for the fall season or set with miniatures for a display. \nRequired Supplies/Equipment/Books: The kit you receive will include all the yarn to make 2 acorns\, stuffing\, 2 small lights and notes on how to make these adorable acorns. (These notes are not in the free pattern download and are only available in the kits.) Extra kits will be available for purchase. \nYou will need a set of US size #1 double pointed needles or a US size #1 circular needle for magic loop. I recommend DPNs over magic loop\, but it is up to the knitter to decide. The acorns can also be knit flat and seamed if you prefer. If you need to purchase needles let us know when you register and we will set them aside for you.
