Day/Date/Time: Tuesdays, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14 and 10/21/2025, from 6:00-7:00pm ET via Zoom. This class meets 4 times.

Description: Fair Isle sweaters have such complex designs and details to get right, that it helps to have a chart of the full sweater. This four-session class will teach you to use Excel to create that chart. Participants will learn to set up the grid, efficiently copy and paste repeating patterns, color the design, check for pleasing connections at the shoulders and sleeves, and print to specific scale.  Participants will need a tablet or phone for Zoom and a computer for working on Excel. Although the principles of this class can be applied to other spread sheets such as Numbers or Google Sheets, in the interest of time, instruction will be limited to Excel. Each session will have homework.

Required Supplies/Equipment/Books: A computer with Excel installed for working on the chart and a phone or tablet to participate in the Zoom class. An Excel file and the ZOOM link will be sent to participants in the week before class.

Prerequisite: The ability to save and find files on a computer. Some experience with Excel or other Microsoft Office products, as well as with Zoom, are helpful.
