Day/Date/Time: Saturday, 11/4/2023, from Noon to 4:00pm. This class meets once.
Description: Learn the basics of how your ribber works, how to clean, maintain and adjust the ribber. Learn the basic 1×1 and 3×1 ribbing on your sock machine, includes a discussion on different types of ribbing and why you would use them.
Skills learned: Selvedge edges, e-wrap, 1×1, 3×1 and scallop top edge. Time permitting, we will make a sock with the ribber on the machine. Private lessons are also available.
Required Supplies/Equipment/Books:
Prerequisite: Must know how to set up and knit stockinette tubes with no dropped stitches, have made stockinette tubes, mock rib, and heels, and know how to adjust the yarn carrier. Some general knowledge of how the machine works is helpful. The cylinder and ribber dial must match. Either equal slot or half slot dials only. 54 cylinder and a 36 dial WILL NOT WORK for this class.
