Day/Date/Time: Thursday & Friday, 5/15 & 5/16/2025 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. This class meets for two days.

Description: This compact loom is perfect for dipping your toes into the weaving waters. In this class you will make a scarf using a lux yarn that feels and looks scrumptious. Using good yarn always makes your project shine! You will learn how to dress the loom, how to weave and a bit about planning a project. Three looms are available for in-store rental, however, please plan ahead as not all new weavers finish the project during class time and you may have to return to the shop during regular hours to complete it.

Required Supplies/Equipment/Books: Two skeins Malabrigo Dos Tierras – either two of one color way or one solid and one multicolored (wind into balls prior to class). Loom with at least 12″ weaving width; 8 dent heddle; threading hook or hooks, depending on the maker; sharp scissors, tape measure that can measure 100″; writing supplies; large tapestry needle; and 12” wide separating paper or sticks for warping.

Prerequisite: None

Pre-Class Prep: Wind yarn into balls.

Instructor: Joan Sheridan

Maximum: 6 students (only 3 looms are available to rent for this class)

Fee: $145.00; $160 with loom rental
