Day/Date/Time: Saturday, 11/9/2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This class meets one time.
Description: In this class we will look at how fiber prep, micron count, and staple length affect your finished product. We will sample fine wool, medium wool, and long wool. We will also survey different spinning styles and demonstrate how drafting style, twist per inch, and ply angle affect your finished yarn. We will discuss spinner’s journals and their purpose in helping you to develop your spinning with consistency and intention while acquiring new spinning skills. Class fee includes materials.
Required Supplies/Equipment/Books: Your own spinning wheel in working order and a lazy kate. Recommended book: Yarnitecture by Jillian Moreno.
Prerequisite: Beginner/ advanced beginner wheel spinning skills
