Inspired by a trip the designer took to visit a Peruvian friend, this "chullo" is easy to knit because the patterning is created using slipped stitches. You are never knitting with more than one color in a row.

Seven colors of Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd's Wool (123 g total, enough for any size in the pattern).
You will need:
Needles and notions,
Adult US 8/5.0 mm needles for circular knitting and US H/5.0 mm crochet hook;
Child US 6/4.0 mm needles for circular knitting and US F/4.0 mm crochet hook; or sizes to achieve gauge. Stitch marker, tapestry needle, waste yarn (smooth cotton).
Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
