“The name is inspired by the many islands of Shetland, an archipelago. Since islands and Fair Isle knitting are two passions of mine, the name seemed to fit. One thing about remote islands is that the stars are amazingly bright. Each of these caps end in a bright shining star." ~Joan

Size:
Adult average. Short/long approximately 8”/10” (20.3/25.4 cm) from crown to brim. Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Fingering weight, samples made with Jamieson’s Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m).

Short version
(C1) 160 Midnight - 83 yds (76 m);
(C2) 170 Fjord - 44 yds (40 m);
(C3) 134 Blue Danube - 39 yds (36 m);
(C4) 425 Mustard - 11 yds (10 m);
(C5) 304 White - 28 yds (26 m).

Long version
(C1) 319 Artichoke - 105 yds (96 m);
