Learn the basics of how your ribber works and how to clean, maintain and adjust the ribber. Learn the basic 1x1 and 3x1 ribbing on your sock machine.
Skills learned: Selvedge edges, e-wrap, 1x1, 3x1, and scallop top edge. Discussion on different types of ribbing and why you would use them. Time permitting, we will make a sock with the ribber on the machine.

Prerequisite:
Must know how to set up and knit stockinette tubes with no dropped stitches; know how to adjust the yarn carrier; have made stockinette tubes, mock rib and heels. Some general knowledge of how the machine works is helpful.
The cylinder and ribber dial must match. Either equal slot or half slot dials only. 54 cylinder and a 36 dial WILL NOT WORK for this class.
Pre-Class Prep:
Project yarn and waste yarn wound on a cone.
