“This scarf is inspired by a vintage pillowcase made by my Great Aunt Eleanor and given to her husband's sister and my grandmother, Helen, probably in the 1930's. Eleanor was known for her knitting and crochet skills. I think she was not only a good knitter she was also creative. I've never been able to find this combination of edging pattern in any of my many vintage pattern books. I suspect she added an edging and an insertion together, modified the daisy to make a six petal version and added a little of her experience to come up with something that looks very lovely adapted for a modern-day scarf.“ ~Joan
