The Islesburgh Toorie shines a spotlight on Shetland sheep and their wonderful wool, the product on which Shetland Wool Week is built. The Doull family has been chosen as the 2024 patrons of Shetland Wool Week, and have expertise in sheep and wool evaluation.
As avid knitters, Anne and her family have produced exceptional garments of the highest quality, winning prizes locally and nationally.

Skills:
Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
Size:
Approximately 20". Adjust size by changing needle size.
Included:
Five colors of 100% Shetland wool, enough for medium size (125 g total).
You will need:
Pattern, available here.
One extra skein of main color for large size:
Spindrift version, 603 Potpourri;
Jamison & Smith version, Shade 36, Dark Navy.
Needles and notions US 2/2.75 mm (for medium) or 3.0 mm (for large) needles for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
