“These mittens were inspired by my friend’s homeland, Norway. In essense, they are a mini-travelog. Starting at the bottom of the mitten: the traditional Norwegian star, evergreens, fish, waves of the sea, Viking ships, more trees topped by images of the Midnight Sun and northern lights. The blue background and the red and white dividers are reminiscent of the flag of Norway.“ ~Joan
Size:
Adult medium. For a longer mitten, insert a second repeat of the fish motif or add additional background (navy rows) above the thumb gusset and before working the decreases.

Fingering weight, sample made with Jamieson Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m).
