Day/Date/Time: Sunday, 11/8/2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a break for lunch. This class meets once.

Description: Band weaving is a great way to take your weaving on the road. If you already know how to weave simple plain weave on an inkle, then turned krokbragd is a great “next step.” Krokbragd is loom controlled and allows you to make pictures. It falls between plain weave and pick up patterning in complexity. In this class we will make a flock of sheep all in a row. You will learn about the structure, and how to set up the loom and weave. Class fee includes yarn, tools, handout.

Required Supplies/Equipment/Books: 60 premade or appropriately sized Texsolv heddles, standard size inkle loom (miniature looms do not work well for this technique), scissors, measuring tape, and note taking materials.

Prerequisite:  Must be able to weave independently on an inkle loom.

Pre-Class Prep:   Make heddles, if necessary. Students must make 60 double string heddles prior to class, instructions here: https://heritagespinning.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/making_double_heddles_handout.pdf.

Instructor:   Joan Sheridan

Maximum: 8 students
