"This cap was inspired by a walkabout on Isle Royal on a very wet day. The brave campanula was shining in all it's glory. The top of the hat represents the early autumn color of the aspen against the green of the evergreens above the forest floor. It wasn't until I was done with the design on paper that I realized the hat has several rounds with three colors, but I decided to go with it. Once you get into the rhythm of using three colors in a round, it really isn't so bad. Plus, the results are pretty!" ~Joan
