“Each year since 2019, I have designed a hat as a teaching tool to introduce at Michigan Fiber Festival. Each of the hats has a fiber and/or Michigan theme. The 2021 hat has a Michigan summer theme. Designed in the dark days of COVID, it reminded me of hope and summer and all the good that surrounds us. Sun, pines, Great Lakes, and cherries. I hope it makes you smile.” ~Joan

Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
Size:
Adult average (21"). To make a smaller size, go down one needle size, to make a larger size, go up one needle size.
Included:
Pattern.
Seven colors of 100% Shetland wool (76 g total).
You will need:
Needles and notions US 2/2.75 mm and US 3/3.25 mm needles for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
