Lady Featherington - The Chicken Purse - Digital Pattern Only

This adorable little chicken purse is stitched with a modified double crochet. The modified dc gives the fabric a very tight sturdy weave. It works up quickly because it is dc. Instructions are included to added zipper and fully line your purse. In this 17 page pattern there are over 40 pictures, 6 charts, as well as written instructions, a pocket pattern, lining instructions.

Size:
10” wide head to tail and 5.25” from center top to bottom

Yarn: (2) skeins, sport weight Omega Sinfonia, 7
yards DK red yarn for comb and wattles, and 2 yards
DK yellow for the beak.

Needles and Notions:
US G/4.0 mm hook or size to obtain gauge, US D/3.0 mm hook for beak, locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, pencil and paper. Stitch marker, tapestry needle. (2) 6.0 mm black beads for eyes. Optional: one 9" zipper, purse hardware, ½ yard of fabric for lining, medium fusible interfacing, large eye sharp needle, sewing needle and coordinating thread.
